Brief description of the position :
In order to meet the needs of its clients in the Agri-Food sector, FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for building mechanics consultants motivated to carry out mandates. The main missions would be to manage mechanical and electrical building systems projects (HVAC, plumbing), supervise subcontractors’ work and ensure compliance with OHS standards on the job sites.
Main responsibilities :
Without limitation, the main tasks involve:
- Manage projects related to building mechanics;
- Design, plan, execute and monitor building mechanical and electrical system projects (air conditioning, ventilation, heating, plumbing, electricity, etc.);
- Collaborate in the implementation of plans and technical drawings;
- Evaluate customer needs, produce technical specifications and evaluate work costs;
- Monitor the execution of projects on the various sites;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on construction sites;
- Supervise the work of subcontractors, technicians and write reports;
- Train or participate in the training of technical staff;
- Participate in weekly meetings to follow the progress of the work;
- Provide solutions to problems encountered and perform all tasks relevant to the mandate.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, building mechanics, electrical) or any other related discipline;
- Certificate, diploma or certificate (PMP) in project management (an asset);
- 1 (one) to 10 (ten) years of experience in industry, preferably in the food, (bio)pharmaceutical, cosmetics or chemical sector;
- Experience in building mechanics project management;
- ASP construction card, an asset;
- Knowledge of Autocad, Revit software, an asset;
- Knowledge of regulations (CFIA, Health Canada, FDA);
- Knowledge of the SQF food safety system as well as the HACCP methodology;
- Excellent skills in MS Office Suite.
- Good communication and writing skills in French and English;
- Mobility (an asset).
