Brief description of the position:
To meet the needs of its clients in the IT sector, FOP EXPERTS CONSEILS is looking for motivated consultants in DBA analysis (Oracle and SQL Server) for various projects. The main tasks would include developing functional specifications for programs and software, creating and testing solutions, monitoring productions, training users, and participating in continuous improvement programs.
Main Responsibilities:
Without being limited to them, the main responsibilities of the position are as follows:
- Perform tasks related to the management of Oracle and SQL Server databases, including data refreshing (import/export), daily status checks of the database, managing access rights to various accounts, and creating, modifying, and deleting objects (tables, views, dblink, etc.);
- Analyze and program requests by identifying possible solutions, considering impacts and efforts;
- Analyze SQL programming and other supported open-source technologies for business solution development;
- Ensure the resolution of operational problems of systems in production;
- Provide advice on BI data exploitation (SAS, PowerBI, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any other related discipline recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education or its equivalent;
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the IT field in development OR maintenance OR system evolution, with at least three (3) years as an Oracle and SQL Server analyst;
- A minimum of two (2) years of practical experience with the following technologies: Forms/Reports development, Oracle 12C DB, Oracle JDeveloper, SQL and PL/SQL programming;
- In the past five (5) years, have completed, as an Oracle and SQL Server analyst, at least one (1) project, with a scope of at least 220 person-days, in a development OR maintenance OR system evolution context;
- A minimum of one (1) year of practical experience with the “Visual Studio” development suite and the “.NET” and “C#” programming languages;
- Excellent proficiency in the MS Office suite;
- Good communication and writing skills in French and English;
- Mobility (an asset).
